The Big Lunch is a national event run by Eden Project Communities — neighbours across the country sitting down together for a meal. We're hosting ours outside at Meadowbrook on Saturday 6th June, 12–2pm.
Bring and share
Bring a dish to contribute — sandwiches, salads, savoury snacks, cakes, or drinks all welcome. Bring your own cutlery and plates; a picnic blanket is optional (some seating provided). Big table for the spread, plus other tables and chairs for sitting out.
Plan B if wet: we have the big upstairs room reserved at Meadowbrook.
Tour of the site — 2:30pm
After lunch, join us for a tour of the Meadowbrook facilities: the community centre upstairs spaces, snooker table, swimming pool site and pavilion. A great chance to find out what's here and what's happening.
Why we're doing this
We want to bring people together — especially those new to the village in the new houses — and open the invitation to get involved with the DRA. Whether that's helping at the Big Lunch, at the summer Extravaganza, with the pool project, or joining the regular socials.
Get involved
If you'd like to volunteer, we'd love your help with:
- Planning and leafleting beforehand
- Setting up from 11am on the day — tables, bunting, etc.
Email biglunch@meadowbrookdartington.org to get involved.
