The run of picnic benches between the playground and the pavilion gets constant use through the summer - and it shows. The timber has greyed off, some of the seats and cross-braces have worked loose, and a few need boards replacing.
What's involved
- Go round each bench and tighten or replace the fixings
- Replace any boards that are too far gone
- Give the lot a wash down and a coat of treatment
This is a good one for a workday: plenty of people can work on it at once, no specialist skills needed, and the difference is obvious by the end of the day.
