A brilliant turnout at our spring community workday. Volunteers, families and local businesses spent the day painting, fixing, cleaning and repairing, and a long list of jobs got ticked off.
What we got done
- More of the outside of the building painted - carrying on where the last workday left off
- Divots in the playground filled - a safer, more even surface underfoot
- Sports and play equipment repaired, along with the benches around the site
- Graffiti removed
- The internal stairs painted
- A proper spring clean through the building
Thank you
Thanks to everyone who came down to help, and to the families who turned up for something else and got stuck in spontaneously. That's exactly how this place gets looked after.
Particular thanks to Bex at Earthjump CIC for organising us, and to Adam at Aspect Deco for leading the outdoor painters.
Thanks to The Somewhere Sauna, Totnes Sub Aqua Club, Share Shed and Swimfix for their handy work and community spirit - and to Pizzalogica for the snacks.
And a big shout out to the local Jewson and B&Q for the paints, brushes, buckets and plants.
See how the day went in our post on Instagram.
